Your full day sightseeing of Old and New Delhi begins with a ride by cycle rickshaw, through the colourful laneways of Chandni Chowk Market followed by a visit to Jama Masjid, one of the largest mosques in India. Photo stop at the Red Fort, visit to Raj Ghat a memorial dedicated to Gandhi. Later drive along the broad Rajpath, past the India Gate and Parliament House followed by a visit to the Tomb of Humayun and Qutub Minar. (B)

This morning travel to Agra where you get your first glimpse of the Taj Mahal one of the Seven Wonders of the World. Upon arrival visit the iconic Taj Mahal, a monument of love and a flawless architectural creation, built by an emperor in memory of his beloved queen. Afterwards, witness the hustle and bustle of everyday life as you make your way through the city to Agra Fort, a vast and powerful fortress of red sandstone and gardens. (B)

Early this morning you will have the opportunity to witness the Taj Mahal at sunrise (optional – to be paid locally). Afterwards travel to Fatehpur Sikri to explore the fascinating ghost city before continuing on to Jaipur known as the Pink City, the colourful capital of Rajasthan. (B)

Today explore the impressive Amber Fort perched atop the arid hills on the outskirts of Jaipur. See its royal halls decorated with intricate ivory, mirrors, glass and exquisite paintings. Return to the city to see the Hawa Mahal, Palace of Winds and visit the City Palace Museum and Royal Observatory. (B)

Return by road to India’s bustling capital Delhi. Enjoy the remainder of your day at leisure. (B)

Transfer to the airport for your flight to Colombo, Sri Lanka. On arrival in Sri Lanka you will be met and transferred to your hotel in the vibrant capital city of Colombo. The capital of Sri Lanka is a diverse mix of people, architecture and religion influenced by ancient kingdoms and European settlers and a great starting point for your Sri Lankan adventure. If time permits, depending on your flight, you will explore with your guide the highlights of this wonderful capital which include Pettah Bazaar, Wolvendaal Dutch Church, Gotami Vihara and Hindu Kovil at Slave Island, one of Colombo’s most impressive Hindu Temples. Depart Colombo and travel along the bustling Kandy Road past small villages, chaotic towns and roadside carts selling an array of local produce. On arrival in Habarana and check in to the secluded Cinnamon Lodge, an eco-friendly hotel set in 27 acres of wooded gardens. This afternoon travel to nearby Sigiriya Rock Fortress, or Lion Rock, one of Sri Lanka’s most iconic sights. Take the opportunity to climb to the top of this striking rock with its sheer vertical walls supporting the remnants of an ancient 5th century city. (B, D)

Explore the ancient royal capital of Polonnaruwa, one of the most beautiful centres in Sri Lanka’s cultural heritage. Discover on foot, or by bicycle (optional - to be paid locally), the wonderful treasures that remain in the archaeological park including the four beautiful rock-cut Buddha statues at Gal Vihara Temple. Afterwards you have the opportunity to visit a local village house where you can experience first-hand the cooking methods of a local family and enjoy a traditional lunch (optional - to be paid locally). End your day with another night relaxing in the natural surrounds of the 5 star Cinnamon Lodge. (B, D)

Proceed to Kandy, stopping en-route to visit the UNESCO World Heritage site, Dambulla Cave Temple, the best-preserved cave temple complex in Sri Lanka. This Buddhist place of worship is thought to date back to the 1st century, and houses the country’s most sacred Buddha images.
Next stop at Matale, where you will have the opportunity to experience one of Sri Lanka's famous exports - spices. Explore the delightful green and fragrant Spice Garden where expert staff will introduce you to different spices including nutmeg, pepper vines, cloves trees, curry, cinnamon, and the precious cardamom (which grows in the shade of high jungle trees and can only be harvested by hand).
On arrival in Kandy check in at Cinnamon Citadel (4 star) which is set on a lush hill side overlooking the river, with a beautiful outdoor pool. Afterwards, visit the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic, a complex said to hold the tooth of the Lord Buddha himself. Continue on to see the Royal Botanical Gardens before an afternoon free to wander around the city’s lake and explore the local markets. This evening enjoy a Kandyan Dance performance, a colourful spectacle including fire-walkers. (B, D)

Continue your exploration of the scenic high country with an excursion to Nuwara Eliya. Where the colourful chaos of Sri Lanka meets colonial bungalows, well-tended lawns and red telephone boxes. Discover the journey from tree to cup of the world-famous high-grown Ceylon Tea. With your expert guide, walk through a local tea plantation, meet with a Tea plucker and visit the factory to see the processing stage followed by a tea-tasting session. Return to Kandy in the late afternoon. (B, D)

This morning depart Kandy where you continue onto to Yala National Park, staying at Cinnamon Wild Yala. Which features an idyllic location to explore the wilderness and enjoy creature comforts at the resort. Yala, is the second largest National Park in Sri Lanka and home to a great diversity of wildlife, most famous of which is the leopard. (B, D)

Early this morning you will join a jeep safari in Yala. This expansive national park is a beautiful area where lowland scrub sits on a long stretch of coastline. It is also home a fascinating array of wild animals! Look out for elephants, sloth bears, water buffaloes, wild boars, crocodiles and of course leopards. Yala is known as one of the best places in the world to spot the elusive big cat. (B, D)

Travel the scenic route from Sri Lanka’s southeast coast to Galle in the southwest. En route visit beautiful beaches, the Wevurukannala Buddha Statue (the largest in the island) and stilt fishermen in Koggala. Once in Galle you will enjoy a tour of the Heritage listed fort area with its charming laneways, rich trading history and Dutch-colonial buildings. Your last stop for the day is the stunning beach town of Bentota. Check in to the Cinnamon Bey Resort, a great place to un-wind as your Sri Lankan your journey nears its end (B, D)
