DAY 1 NEGOMBO
Welcome to Sri Lanka! Your tour commences with an arrival transfer to your hotel in the seaside village of Negombo. Depending on what time your flight arrives, enjoy the rest of your day at leisure.

DAY 2 NEGOMBO – DAMBULLA
Depart Negombo and travel along the bustling Kandy Road past small villages, chaotic towns and roadside carts selling an array of local produce. On arrival in Dambulla check in to your hotel, set in forested area and overlooking the beautiful Kandalama lake. The afternoon is at leisure to visit one of the quaint villages or take a stroll to the nearby reservoir. BD

DAY 3 DAMBULLA/ SIGIRIYA ROCK FORTRESS
Today, travel to nearby Sigiriya Rock Fortress, or Lion Rock, one of Sri Lanka’s most iconic sights. Take the opportunity to climb to the top of this striking rock with its sheer vertical walls supporting the remnants of an ancient 5th century city. Return to Dambulla for an evening at leisure. BD
DAY 4 DAMBULLA – POLONNARUWA – PASIKUDAH
Continue your journey to explore the ancient royal capital of Polonnaruwa, one of the most beautiful centres in Sri Lanka’s cultural heritage. Discover on foot, or by bicycle (optional - to be paid locally), the wonderful treasures that remain in the archaeological park including the four beautiful rock-cut Buddha statues at Gal Vihara Temple. Afterwards continue east, towards the golden sands of Paskiudah. Check in at the Amaya Beach Hotel, only a short walk from a small yet stunning beach with sweeping palm trees and gorgeous blue water. DAY 5 PASIKUDAH
Take the day at leisure to kick back on the beach and enjoy the calm clear waters. It is also a popular spot for water sports and snorkelling at the shallow fringing reef. If you are feeling active your chauffeur/guide is available to make a suggestion for you to explore. BD
DAY 6 PASIKUDAH – KANDY
This morning continue on to the Hill country village of Kandy. Check in at the Amaya Hills hotel, which lies on a rocky outcrop and presents a panoramic view of the city and the surrounding hills. Visit the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic, a complex said to hold the tooth of the Lord Buddha himself. This evening enjoy a Kandyan Dance performance, a colourful spectacle including fire-walkers. DAY 7 KANDY – NUWARA ELIYA
Your journey today leads you through the scenic high country to Nuwara Eliya. On arrival in Nuwara Eliya, check in at The Grand Hotel, an English country-style manor with half-timbered facade and chic interior.
Begin your exploration of the city where the colourful chaos of Sri Lanka meets colonial bungalows, well-tended lawns and red telephone boxes. Discover the journey from tree to cup of the world-famous high-grown Ceylon Tea. With your expert guide, walk through a local tea plantation, meet with a Tea plucker and visit the factory to see the processing stage. BD

DAY 8 NUWARA ELIYA – YALA NATIONAL PARK
Early this morning depart Nuwara Eliya where you continue to Yala National Park, staying at Cinnamon Wild Yala. This afternoon enjoy your jeep safari in Yala, the second largest National Park in Sri Lanka and home to a great diversity of wildlife. Look out for elephants, sloth bears, water buffaloes, wild boars, crocodiles and of course leopards. Yala is known as one of the best places in the world to spot the elusive big cat. BD

DAY 9 YALA NATIONAL PARK – COLOMBO
Travel the scenic route from Sri Lanka’s southeast coast to Colombo. En route there is the opportunity to make stops along the way. There are many points of interest such as beautiful beaches, the Wevurukannala Buddha Statue (the largest in the island), the stilt fishermen in Koggala or Galle, the Heritage listed fort with its charming Dutch-colonial buildings. Once in Colombo check in at the iconic hotel The Kingsbury, with its luxurious facade and elegant interiors. BD
