DAY 1 COLOMBO – TRINCOMALEE
Today drive to the east coast to Trincomalee or Trinco, renowned as one of the most picturesque natural harbours in the world and popular for whale watching. (D)
Stay at:
Nilaveli Beach Hotel (3 star), Trinco Blue 4 star) or Jungle Beach (5 star).
DAY 2 TRINCOMALEE / PASIKUDAH
Leave early this morning for your short drive to the coastal resort area of Pasikudah. The white sandy beaches, shallow waters and coral reefs of Pasikudah Bay make it the perfect place to enjoy walks along the unspoilt beautiful beaches, swimming or just relaxing. (B, D)
DAY 3 TRINCOMALEE
Today you have the opportunity to visit the Maritime and Naval History Museum established near Fort Fredrick where the Dutch first landed in the 16th century. The museum is used to display the country's maritime history. Later visit Marble Beach. (B, D)
DAY 4/5 TRINCOMALEE
With two days at leisure you may wish to explore Trinco Fort, the fascinating Koneswaram Hindu Temple and Lover's Leap where you take in the breathtaking views of the vast Indian Ocean. Or delve into the underwater world with a visit to Pigeon Island, a magnificent spot for snorkelling and diving. (B, D)
DAY 6 TRINCOMALEE – COLOMBO
Your tour concludes with a departure transfer to the airport for your onward journey. (B)
