DAY 1 NEGOMBO
Your tour commences with an arrival transfer to your hotel in theseaside village of Negombo.(D)

DAY 2 NEGOMBO – KALPITIYA
Depart Negombo and drive to Kalpitiya, a little paradise on its own, a marine sanctuary with a diversity of habitats ranging from bottlenose and Indo-Pacific humpback dolphins, whales and sea turtles. This area was also influenced by the Dutch. See the remains of the well preserved Dutch church and the Dutch fort which is occupied by the Sri Lankan Navy. (B, D)

DAY 3 KALPITIYA – WILPATTU NATIONAL PARK – ANURADHAPURA
Drive to Wilpattu National Park, a unique water basin with nearly 60 lakes which attracts thousands of water birds and is world renowned for its leopards. Continue on to Anuradhapura a UNESCO world heritage site, Sri Lanka’s ancient ruined city. (B, D)

DAY 4 ANURADHAPURA – SIGIRIYA
After breakfast continue to Sigiriya. On arrival check-in to your hotel before your afternoon village trek to Hiriwaduna a small village in Habarana, where you will have the opportuity to meet with the villagers, learn and experience village life. Taste authentic local cuisine while appreciating a cooking demonstration. Enjoy this evening’s dinner at the hotel. (B, D)

DAY 5 SIGIRIYA
Early morning visit to Sigiriya Rock Fortress, or Lion Rock, one of Sri Lanka’s most iconic sights. Take the opportunity to climb to the top of this striking rock with its vertical walls supporting the remnants of an ancient city constructed in the 5th century. This evening join a jeep safari in the Minneriya National Park, one of the best places in Sri Lanka to see wild elephants. (B, D)

DAY 6 SIGIRIYA – TRINCOMALEE
Today drive to the East coast to Trincomalee or Trinco, renowned as one of the most picturesque natural harbours of the world and popular for whale watching. Visit Trinco Fort, Koneswaram Temple and Lovers Leap. (B, D)

DAY 7 TRINCOMALEE / PASSIKUDAH
Leave early this morning for your drive to the coastal resort area of Passikudah. The clean, white sandy beaches, shallow waters and coral reefs of Passikudah Bay make the perfect place to enjoy unspoilt beach walks, swimming or just relaxing. (B, D)

DAY 8 TRINCOMALEE – ELLA
Today travel to the hill country with beautiful tea plantations, misty mountain peaks and waterfalls. En route stop and visit Ravana Falls, Ella Rock and Lipton's Seat. Also visit Demodora Nine Arch Bridge, one of the best examples of colonial era construction in the country before arriving at your hotel. (B, D)

DAY 9 ELLA
Today is at leisure where you may choose to explore the beautiful tea country or if feeling adventurous you may wish to climb Little Adams peak. (B, D)

DAY 10 ELLA – YALA NATIONAL PARK
Today leave the tea plantation region and drive to Yala National Park. (B, D)

DAY 11 YALA NATIONAL PARK
Depart early for your jeep safari in Yala, the second largest National Park in Sri Lanka and home to a great
diversity of wildlife, most famous of which is the leopard. Look out for elephants, sloth bears, water buffaloes, wild boars, crocodiles and of course leopards. Yala is known as one of the best places in the world to spot the elusive big cat. (B, D)

DAY 12 YALA NATIONAL PARK – TANGALLE
Today after breakfast travel along the scenic south coast to Tangalle, a stunning region noted for its pristine beaches and crystal clear waters. (B, D)

DAY 13 TANGALLE / MIRISSA
Today visit the small town of Mirissa for the opportunity to see a blue whale or sperm whale on your whale watching excursion. Afterwards drive to Koggala to witness the iconic stilt fishermen at work. Continue your drive to Galle, a historic fort town, for a tour of the Heritage listed fort area with its charming laneways, rich trading history and Dutch-colonial buildings. (B, D)

DAY 14 TANGALLE – COLOMBO
Your tour concludes with a departure transfer to the airport for your onward journey. (B)
